Privacy Policy
Last Updated: February 27, 2026
At DaivaVarna.com, your privacy is our highest priority. We believe that a marketplace built on traditional values and sustainable living must be rooted in absolute trust. We are committed to protecting the personal information of our Customers and Vendors.
Our Promise: We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third-party advertisers or data brokers. All data collected is used exclusively to facilitate a smooth, secure, and mission-aligned experience on our website.
Information We Collect
To provide a high-quality multi-vendor experience, we collect information in three categories:
A. Information You Provide to Us
- Account Credentials: Name, email address, and password created during registration.
- Transaction Data: Shipping and billing addresses, phone numbers, and order history.
- Vendor Verification (Sellers Only): To ensure every vendor is legit, we collect business registration details, government-issued identification, tax IDs, and bank account information for payouts.
- Communication: Any messages sent between Customers and Vendors or to our Support Team regarding grievances, product inquiries, or safety instructions.
A. Information Collected Automatically
- Technical Logs: IP addresses, browser types, and device identifiers used to prevent fraud and ensure the security of our escrow system.
- Cookies: Small data files that allow us to remember your shopping cart, keep you logged in, and analyze site performance.
C. Financial Information
- Secure Payments: We use industry-standard, encrypted third-party payment processors. While we do not store full credit card numbers on our servers, we retain transaction tokens to manage our Escrow Model (holding funds until delivery is confirmed).
How We Use Your Information
Your data is used solely for the operational success of the marketplace and the advancement of our core principles:
- Order Fulfillment: Sharing your name and shipping address with the independent Vendor you purchased from so they can deliver your goods.
- The Escrow System: Managing the “Hold-and-Release” of funds to ensure Customers receive their products before Vendors receive payment.
- Mission Impact Reporting: Using anonymized, aggregated data to track how our collective community supports cow protection and the growth of traditional cottage businesses.
- Resolution Management: Reviewing transaction and communication history if a grievance is escalated from a Vendor to the Platform level for a refund.
Sharing and Disclosure of Information
We strictly limit the sharing of your data. We only share information in the following ways:
- Between Customers and Vendors: Vendors receive necessary shipping information to fulfill orders. Conversely, Customers receive Vendor contact details to resolve grievances.
- Service Providers: We share data with trusted partners who perform essential functions (e.g., shipping carriers, payment processors, and cloud hosting). These partners are contractually obligated to protect your data and are forbidden from using it for their own marketing.
- Legal & Safety Requirements: We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the physical safety of our users, our community, or the animals supported by our platform.
Crucially: We never share your data with third-party advertising networks. Your browsing habits and purchase history are kept private and are never used for targeted advertising outside of our own platform.
Data Security: Our Highest Priority
We implement a multi-layered security approach to protect your information:
- Encryption: All data transmitted to and from our website is encrypted using Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology.
- Vendor Vetting: We manually or digitally verify Vendor identities to ensure they are legitimate entities before they are allowed to sell furniture, food, or natural products.
- Access Control: Access to sensitive customer and vendor data is strictly limited to authorized personnel who require it to resolve disputes or maintain the website’s technical integrity.
Vendor Privacy Obligations
Every Vendor on our platform is bound by a Vendor Service Agreement which requires them to:
- Use Customer data only for shipping and fulfillment.
- Provide their own clear privacy and safety terms for their specific products (especially for furniture and food).
- Protect the confidentiality of all Customer correspondence.
Your Rights and Choices
- Access & Portability: You may request a copy of the data we hold about you at any time.
- Correction: You can update your profile, shipping addresses, or business details through your account dashboard.
