About These Supplemental Terms
These Deity Worship Supplemental Vendor Terms apply to Vendors who list, manufacture, prepare, source, customize, or sell Products intended principally for Deity worship, puja, altar use, temple use, devotional practice, sacred decoration, or related traditional religious purposes through Daivavarna.
Daivavarna intends this category to provide a carefully curated source of authentic, respectful, traditional, natural-material, artisan, and devotional Products rather than an unrestricted religious-goods marketplace.
Products offered in this category may include Deity clothing, altar textiles, puja utensils, lamps and lamp holders, incense accessories, bells, vessels, sacred decorative items, altar furniture, garlands or other approved offerings, traditional worship accessories, and other Products approved by Daivavarna.
Because such Products may involve sacred representations, religious provenance, flame, food contact, metals, natural materials, wildlife-derived materials, traditional craftsmanship, or other specialized considerations, Vendors must comply with the additional requirements described below.
These Supplemental Terms form part of the Vendor’s agreement with Daivavarna and supplement the General Vendor Terms and Seller Agreement, Marketplace Policies, Product Safety and Recall Policy, Prohibited and Restricted Products, Services and Activities Policy, Intellectual Property Policy, Shipping Policy, Returns Policy, and other applicable Supplemental Category Terms.
Nothing in these Supplemental Terms limits obligations imposed by Applicable Law.
1. CATEGORY APPROVAL REQUIRED
A Vendor may be required to obtain separate approval before listing Products in the Deity Worship category.
General Vendor approval does not automatically authorize the Vendor to sell devotional or sacred Products.
Daivavarna may review the Vendor’s Products, materials, sourcing, photographs, religious representations, provenance claims, manufacturing methods, safety information, or other relevant information before granting category approval.
2. CONTINUING CATEGORY ELIGIBILITY
Approval to sell within Deity Worship is conditional and continuing.
Daivavarna may review or suspend category eligibility where the Vendor:
materially changes the type of Products offered;
introduces Products involving higher safety or regulatory risk;
uses materially different sourcing practices;
makes questionable sacred-provenance claims;
repeatedly misrepresents materials;
receives significant Customer complaints;
or otherwise creates a reasonable Marketplace concern.
3. PRODUCTS THAT MAY BE ELIGIBLE
Subject to Daivavarna approval, Products may include:
Deity garments;
Deity crowns and textile ornaments;
altar cloths;
asana cloths;
curtains for altars;
puja vessels;
plates;
bowls;
cups;
spoons;
bells;
non-electrical lamps;
diyas;
lamp stands;
incense holders;
camphor holders;
flower holders;
offering vessels;
water vessels;
abhisheka vessels;
altar furniture;
Deity stands;
non-electrical decorative Products;
sacred artwork;
traditional symbols;
japa or worship accessories where approved;
natural garland materials;
and other lawful Products associated with traditional worship.
Daivavarna may move a Product into Clothing, Home & Living, Books, Arts & Crafts, Sattvic Foods, or another category where that category is more appropriate.
4. DEVOTIONAL PURPOSE AND MARKETPLACE STANDARD
Products listed within Deity Worship should have a genuine and reasonable relationship to devotional practice, sacred spaces, traditional worship, or associated cultural practices.
The category should not be used merely as a marketing label for unrelated general merchandise.
5. RESPECTFUL REPRESENTATION
Sacred Products must be represented respectfully.
Listings shall not intentionally use degrading, obscene, mocking, sexually explicit, hateful, or materially disrespectful representations of Deities, sacred personalities, scriptures, symbols, mantras, temples, or recognized devotional traditions.
Daivavarna may exercise reasonable editorial discretion concerning whether a Product is suitable for this curated category.
6. SACRED IMAGERY
Products depicting Deities, spiritual Teachers, sacred symbols, temples, scriptures, yantras, mantras, or devotional scenes may be subject to additional review.
Marketplace approval of one design does not guarantee approval of another design involving the same sacred subject.
7. ACCURACY OF RELIGIOUS DESCRIPTION
A Vendor should accurately identify the Product and, where material, its intended traditional use.
A Vendor shall not knowingly misidentify:
a Deity;
sacred symbol;
mantra;
scripture;
ritual object;
traditional practice;
or religious origin
where the misidentification would materially mislead Customers.
8. NO GUARANTEED SPIRITUAL RESULTS
A Vendor shall not claim that purchasing or possessing a Product guarantees:
wealth;
marriage;
pregnancy;
immigration success;
employment;
healing;
removal of all karma;
automatic liberation;
protection from every danger;
or another assured spiritual or material outcome.
Traditional descriptions concerning customary devotional use may be provided where presented truthfully and without deceptive guarantees.
9. FEAR-BASED SELLING
Vendors shall not use fabricated spiritual threats or fear to pressure Customers into purchases.
A Vendor shall not falsely tell a Customer that the Customer or family is cursed, endangered, spiritually contaminated, or destined for harm unless the Customer urgently purchases a Product.
10. SACRED PROVENANCE CLAIMS
Claims concerning sacred provenance must have a reasonable factual basis.
Examples include claims that a Product:
was used in a temple;
was offered to a Deity;
was blessed;
was consecrated;
was obtained from a sacred place;
was made by a temple;
came from an ashram;
was associated with a particular spiritual Teacher;
or was used in a particular ritual.
11. “OFFERED TO THE DEITY” CLAIMS
A Vendor shall not describe a Product as having been offered to a Deity unless the Vendor has a reasonable basis for that statement.
Where the claim materially affects Product value or Customer expectations, Daivavarna may request additional information concerning its source.
12. “BLESSED” OR “CONSECRATED” CLAIMS
Terms such as “blessed,” “consecrated,” “sanctified,” or equivalent descriptions should be used only where the Vendor has a reasonable basis and understands what the representation means within the relevant tradition.
Such terms shall not be fabricated merely to increase Product value.
13. TEMPLE AND ASHRAM ASSOCIATION
A Vendor shall not falsely represent itself as:
a temple;
an ashram;
a religious trust;
an official temple shop;
an authorized spiritual organization;
or an official representative of a religious institution.
The Vendor must have appropriate authorization where such affiliation is claimed.
14. USE OF TEMPLE OR ORGANIZATION NAMES
Use of a temple, ashram, spiritual organization, lineage, institution, or religious group’s name must comply with the Intellectual Property Policy and Applicable Law.
A truthful descriptive reference must not be presented in a manner that falsely implies endorsement or authorization.
15. NATURAL-MATERIAL PRINCIPLE
Where reasonably practical, Products within Deity Worship should prioritize traditional and natural materials consistent with the nature of the Product.
Examples may include:
cotton;
silk;
wool;
linen;
wood;
bamboo;
clay;
terracotta;
stone;
glass;
brass;
bronze;
copper;
silver;
iron;
natural fibers;
flowers;
plant-derived materials;
and other approved traditional materials.
16. LIMITED SYNTHETIC COMPONENTS
Limited synthetic materials may be permitted where reasonably necessary for legitimate functionality.
Examples may include:
sewing thread;
elastic;
reinforcement;
adhesive;
small protective components;
fasteners;
internal supports;
or other minor functional elements.
Such components should not be used to disguise an otherwise principally synthetic Product as a natural Product.
17. PRINCIPAL SYNTHETIC MATERIAL
Where a Product is promoted as a traditional or natural-material devotional Product, petroleum-derived synthetic material should not ordinarily constitute its principal or majority construction unless Daivavarna specifically permits the Product.
18. DEITY CLOTHING
Deity clothing should ordinarily comply with applicable Clothing & Textiles natural-material standards.
Qualifying materials may include cotton, silk, linen, wool, and other approved natural fibers.
Limited functional synthetic components may be permitted.
19. DEITY CLOTHING MATERIAL DISCLOSURE
Vendors should accurately disclose principal materials used in Deity garments.
A Vendor shall not describe polyester fabric as silk, synthetic brocade as pure silk, or blended fabric as 100% natural fiber where that claim is inaccurate.
20. DEITY GARMENT SIZING
Listings for Deity garments should provide measurements or sufficiently clear size information.
Because Deity forms may vary substantially, generic size labels alone may not be sufficient.
Where appropriate, Vendors should identify measurements such as:
height;
chest or torso width;
waist;
shoulder width;
crown circumference;
or other relevant dimensions.
21. CUSTOM DEITY GARMENTS
Vendors offering custom garments should clearly explain the measurements or specifications required from the Customer.
The Vendor remains responsible for following the specifications actually agreed upon.
Customer-provided measurement errors may be handled under the Returns, Refunds and Cancellation Policy.
22. ALTAR TEXTILES
Altar cloths, curtains, asanas, backdrops, decorative fabrics, and similar Products should comply with applicable textile standards.
Where Products will be used near flame, Vendors should avoid making unsupported flame-resistant claims and should provide reasonable safety information where appropriate.
23. SACRED SYMBOLS ON TEXTILES
Sacred symbols, mantras, Deity images, or scripture may appear on textiles where approved.
Daivavarna may restrict placements or uses that are reasonably considered inappropriate or materially disrespectful within the intended devotional context.
24. PUJA UTENSILS
Puja utensils must be suitable for the represented purpose.
Where a vessel is intended for food, drinking water, milk, ghee, oils, prasada, or other ingestible materials, the Vendor must ensure that the Product is reasonably suitable for the represented contact.
25. BRASS PUJA PRODUCTS
Brass Products must be accurately identified as:
solid brass;
brass-plated;
brass-finished;
or another appropriate description.
A plated Product shall not be represented as solid brass.
26. BRONZE PRODUCTS
Bronze Products must be accurately described.
Where a particular traditional alloy or composition is claimed, the Vendor should have a reasonable basis for that representation.
27. COPPER PRODUCTS
Copper vessels and devotional Products must be accurately represented.
Where special care, cleaning, lining, or restricted use is appropriate, the Vendor should provide reasonable instructions.
A Vendor shall not make unsupported medical claims merely because a Product contains copper.
28. SILVER AND PRECIOUS METALS
Claims that a Product is silver, sterling silver, gold, gold-plated, or contains another precious metal must be accurate.
The Vendor should disclose plating or mixed-metal construction where relevant.
Daivavarna may request evidence concerning materially valuable metal claims.
29. METAL SAFETY
Metal Products must be reasonably suitable for their represented use.
A Vendor shall not market a decorative alloy as food-safe without an appropriate basis.
Sharp edges, unstable bases, dangerous welds, or other material defects must not be concealed.
30. CLAY AND TERRACOTTA PRODUCTS
Clay and terracotta Products may include lamps, incense holders, offering vessels, decorative sacred Products, and other approved items.
Vendors should disclose whether Products are glazed or unglazed and whether they are appropriate for food contact, flame, water, or purely decorative use.
31. CERAMIC DEVOTIONAL PRODUCTS
Ceramic Products intended for food, water, or offering use must satisfy applicable food-contact requirements.
Glazes and paints must be appropriate for the represented use.
32. STONE PRODUCTS
Stone Deity forms, altar accessories, worship vessels, stands, or decorative Products should be accurately described as to material where reasonably known.
Natural stone may show reasonable differences in color, grain, mineral pattern, and texture.
33. WOOD PRODUCTS
Wooden altars, stands, Deity accessories, sacred boxes, frames, or other Products must be accurately described.
A Vendor should not represent veneered, laminated, composite, or engineered material as solid wood where that would materially mislead Customers.
34. DEITY FORMS AND SACRED STATUES
Where Daivavarna permits sacred statues, murtis, Deity forms, or similar Products, Vendors must accurately describe:
material;
dimensions;
construction;
finish;
condition;
and other material characteristics.
Products may require additional review because of their sacred nature.
35. CONSECRATED DEITY FORMS
A Vendor shall not list a Deity form as consecrated, installed, worshiped, temple-used, or otherwise ritually established without a reasonable factual basis.
Daivavarna may restrict or prohibit resale of certain consecrated sacred objects where appropriate to Marketplace standards, religious sensitivity, provenance concerns, or Applicable Law.
36. ANTIQUE SACRED OBJECTS
Products described as antique, historical, temple-origin, archaeological, or culturally significant may require provenance documentation.
Unlawfully removed cultural or sacred property is prohibited.
A modern reproduction shall not be represented as an antique.
37. STOLEN TEMPLE PROPERTY
Products known or reasonably suspected to have been stolen from temples, shrines, ashrams, private religious collections, museums, archaeological sites, or cultural institutions are prohibited.
38. BELLS
Traditional bells may be offered where safely constructed.
Vendors should accurately describe material where materially relevant.
Claims concerning a specific alloy, sacred provenance, sound frequency, healing effect, or spiritual guarantee must have a reasonable factual basis.
39. CONCH SHELLS AND SHELL PRODUCTS
Conch shells and other shell-derived Products may be subject to wildlife, environmental, customs, import, or export restrictions.
The Vendor is responsible for establishing lawful sourcing and sale.
Daivavarna may restrict or prohibit particular shell Products where legal sourcing cannot reasonably be established.
40. WILDLIFE-DERIVED MATERIALS
Products containing:
ivory;
protected feathers;
horn;
bone;
skins;
shells;
coral;
protected animal parts;
or other regulated wildlife-derived materials
may be prohibited or subject to strict review.
A traditional or religious use does not exempt a Product from wildlife law.
41. PEACOCK FEATHERS AND OTHER FEATHERS
Feather Products may be subject to species-specific wildlife laws and international trade restrictions.
Vendors must not assume that a feather is lawful merely because it is traditionally used.
Daivavarna may require evidence of lawful sourcing or prohibit particular feather Products entirely.
42. PLANT-DERIVED SACRED MATERIALS
Products derived from sacred or traditional plants may be eligible where lawfully sourced and accurately described.
Plants, seeds, woods, leaves, roots, or other botanical materials may be subject to agricultural, endangered-species, customs, or international shipping restrictions.
43. PROTECTED WOODS
Products made from sandalwood, red sandalwood, rosewood, or other regulated or protected woods may require documentation concerning species, origin, harvesting, possession, sale, export, or import.
A Vendor shall not falsely describe ordinary wood as sandalwood or another valuable sacred wood.
44. SANDALWOOD CLAIMS
Claims such as:
pure sandalwood;
red sandalwood;
Indian sandalwood;
naturally sourced sandalwood;
or similar
must have a reasonable factual basis.
Daivavarna may request supplier or provenance information.
45. INCENSE
Where incense Products are offered within or associated with Deity Worship, Vendors must accurately disclose relevant materials or ingredients where required.
Products containing prohibited, dangerous, adulterated, or unlawfully marketed substances are not permitted.
46. INCENSE SAFETY
Incense Listings should include reasonable use and ventilation instructions where appropriate.
A Vendor shall not claim that smoke is entirely harmless, medically curative, or safe for every person without an appropriate basis.
47. INCENSE HOLDERS
Incense holders must be reasonably stable and suitable for the type of incense represented.
Products should reasonably contain ash or burning material where that function is claimed.
48. DIYAS AND OIL LAMPS
Non-electrical diyas and oil lamps may be offered where appropriate.
Products should be reasonably stable and suitable for the intended fuel or wick use.
Where relevant, Vendors should provide warnings concerning:
open flame;
hot surfaces;
children;
pets;
flammable surroundings;
ventilation;
and unattended use.
49. CAMPHOR HOLDERS
Camphor holders, arati implements, and similar flame-use Products must be reasonably designed for the heat and intended use represented.
A decorative Product shall not be represented as suitable for burning camphor without a reasonable basis.
50. CANDLES
Where candles are offered for devotional use, they remain subject to applicable fire-safety and Product-safety standards.
Ingredients, fragrances, dyes, and materials must comply with Applicable Law where disclosure or restrictions apply.
51. OPEN-FLAME SAFETY
A Vendor shall not describe a flame-use Product as:
fireproof;
completely safe;
child-safe;
unattended-use safe;
or incapable of causing fire
without a reasonable factual basis.
Open flame inherently requires appropriate care.
52. ELECTRICAL DEVOTIONAL PRODUCTS PROHIBITED AT LAUNCH
Electrical, electronic, rechargeable, plug-in, USB-powered, battery-powered, illuminated, motorized, or otherwise powered devotional Products are prohibited during Daivavarna’s initial Marketplace launch unless expressly approved under a future specialized compliance program.
53. EXAMPLES OF CURRENTLY EXCLUDED DEVOTIONAL PRODUCTS
Examples may include:
electric diyas;
battery-powered lamps;
LED altar lights;
electronic bells;
powered incense burners;
electric camphor burners;
electronic chanting devices;
battery-powered decorative Deity Products;
motorized altar Products;
and similar powered goods.
Daivavarna may revise this restriction in the future.
54. NON-ELECTRICAL ALTERNATIVES
Traditional non-electrical alternatives may be eligible where they otherwise satisfy Marketplace standards.
Examples include:
oil lamps;
clay diyas;
brass lamps;
manual bells;
traditional incense holders;
manual altar accessories;
and other non-powered Products.
55. GARLANDS AND FRESH DEVOTIONAL PRODUCTS
Where Daivavarna permits fresh flowers, garlands, leaves, or other perishable devotional Products, the Vendor must clearly disclose expected freshness, delivery area, preparation timing, and perishability.
Such Products may be limited to local delivery or pickup.
56. DRIED FLOWERS AND NATURAL DECORATIONS
Dried flowers, leaves, grasses, seeds, fibers, or other botanical decorative materials may be permitted where lawfully sourced.
International shipping may be restricted because of agricultural or plant-health rules.
57. FOOD OFFERINGS
Food sold principally as food must comply with Sattvic Foods Supplemental Terms even where it is marketed for offering to a Deity or devotional use.
A Vendor shall not avoid Sattvic Foods requirements merely by placing an edible Product in Deity Worship.
58. PRASADA CLAIMS
Where a Product is represented as prasada or as having been offered to a Deity, the Vendor must have a reasonable basis for that claim.
Food safety, ingredient, packaging, labeling, and applicable Sattvic requirements continue to apply.
59. NON-FOOD OFFERING PRODUCTS
Products intended only for ritual use and not for human consumption must not be marketed as edible unless they are lawful and safe for consumption.
60. COSMETIC OR BODY-USE DEVOTIONAL PRODUCTS
Products such as traditional powders, pastes, oils, or substances intended for application to the body may fall under Ayurveda, personal-care, or another category and may require additional Product-level review.
A ritual use does not exempt a body-use Product from safety requirements.
61. TILAKA AND SIMILAR PRODUCTS
Where Daivavarna permits tilaka clay, sandal paste, powders, or similar externally applied devotional Products, Vendors must accurately disclose relevant ingredients or source information where required.
Products must be reasonably suitable and lawful for their represented use.
62. HEALTH CLAIMS FOR SACRED PRODUCTS
A Vendor shall not make unsupported claims that a sacred Product:
cures disease;
prevents illness;
removes toxins;
treats mental-health disorders;
guarantees fertility;
or otherwise provides a medically guaranteed outcome.
Traditional devotional significance may be described without converting the Listing into a misleading medical claim.
63. ALTAR FURNITURE
Altars, Deity stands, shelves, platforms, cabinets, swings, or other furniture must satisfy applicable Home & Living structural-safety requirements.
Vendors should provide material dimensions, assembly requirements, weight limitations, and mounting instructions where relevant.
64. DEITY SWINGS AND HANGING PRODUCTS
Swings, suspended seats, hanging stands, decorative suspended altars, or similar Products must be designed reasonably for their represented load.
Where particular mounting hardware or installation is necessary, Vendors should provide appropriate instructions.
65. SMALL PARTS
Crowns, ornaments, jewelry, decorative stones, beads, bells, fasteners, or other small components may create choking risks.
Products specifically intended for use around children may require additional review.
66. CHILDREN’S DEVOTIONAL PRODUCTS
Products marketed specifically as toys, learning Products, children’s worship items, or children’s devotional accessories may be subject to children’s Product safety requirements.
A devotional purpose does not exempt a children’s Product from safety standards.
67. SACRED BOOKS
Books, scriptures, prayer books, song books, or other publications ordinarily belong in Daivavarna’s Books category and are governed by the Books Supplemental Vendor Terms.
A Product set containing both a book and devotional accessories may be categorized according to its principal character.
68. DIGITAL DEVOTIONAL PRODUCTS
Where Daivavarna later permits downloadable images, audio, chants, digital books, or other digital devotional content, such Products will be subject to applicable intellectual-property and digital-content requirements.
69. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
Deity Worship Products must comply with the Intellectual Property Policy.
The ancient or sacred nature of a subject does not automatically make a particular modern photograph, illustration, translation, design, or artistic representation free to copy.
70. ARTIST-CREATED DEITY IMAGES
A Vendor shall not reproduce another artist’s protected modern Deity illustration, painting, photograph, sculpture design, or artwork without sufficient authorization merely because the subject itself is traditional.
71. TEMPLE PHOTOGRAPHS
A photograph of a temple, sacred site, Deity, spiritual Teacher, or religious ceremony may be protected or subject to separate rules concerning access, ownership, privacy, or commercial use.
Vendors remain responsible for having sufficient rights.
72. SPIRITUAL TEACHERS AND PUBLIC FIGURES
A Vendor shall not use the image, name, signature, or apparent endorsement of a spiritual Teacher, religious leader, or other person in a misleading or unauthorized manner.
73. HANDMADE CLAIMS
Traditional and artisan devotional Products are encouraged.
Claims such as:
handmade;
hand-carved;
hand-painted;
hand-forged;
handwoven;
artisan-made;
or temple-made
must accurately reflect the Product’s production.
Mass-produced goods shall not be falsely represented as handmade.
74. ARTISAN OR COMMUNITY ORIGIN
Claims that Products are made by:
traditional artisans;
a village;
a particular community;
a cooperative;
a temple workshop;
or another identifiable group
must have a reasonable factual basis.
75. COMMERCIAL PRODUCTS
Commercially manufactured devotional Products may be permitted where they otherwise comply with Daivavarna requirements.
A Product does not have to be handmade merely because it appears in Deity Worship.
Commercial Products must nevertheless be accurately represented.
76. RESALE
Resale may be permitted where Daivavarna approves the Product and Vendor.
A reseller must not falsely claim personal manufacture, sacred provenance, direct temple origin, or artisan authorship.
77. DROP-SHIPPING
Daivavarna may restrict or separately approve drop-shipping.
A Vendor must be able to reasonably verify the Product’s material, quality, sacred representations, authenticity, packaging, safety, and fulfillment.
The Vendor remains responsible for third-party fulfillment.
78. PRODUCT PHOTOGRAPHS
Photographs must reasonably represent the Product actually offered.
A Vendor shall not use photographs of materially higher-quality sacred items while supplying a substantially different Product.
Where handmade Products vary, the Listing should explain the expected variation.
79. WHAT IS INCLUDED
Listings must clearly explain what the Customer receives.
Where photographs show a full altar arrangement, Deity form, flowers, jewelry, lamps, vessels, or decorations, the Vendor must not imply that every displayed Product is included where only one component is being sold.
80. DIMENSIONS
Dimensions should be provided where Product size is important to compatibility or use.
This is particularly important for:
Deity garments;
crowns;
ornaments;
stands;
altars;
vessels;
frames;
canopies;
backdrops;
and similar Products.
81. COMPATIBILITY
A Vendor should not guarantee that a Product will fit every Deity form, altar, stand, vessel, or worship arrangement where sizes vary.
Where specific measurements are required, the Listing should explain them.
82. NATURAL AND HANDMADE VARIATION
Natural materials and handcrafted Products may exhibit reasonable differences in:
color;
grain;
metal finish;
patina;
clay tone;
stone pattern;
weave;
embroidery;
painting;
dimensions;
or surface texture.
Reasonable natural or artisan variation is not necessarily a defect.
83. DEFECTS VERSUS ARTISAN VARIATION
A Vendor shall not use terms such as “handmade,” “rustic,” “traditional,” or “natural variation” to excuse:
dangerous cracking;
structural failure;
sharp edges;
major stains;
incorrect Products;
substantial missing components;
materially incorrect dimensions;
or other significant defects.
84. PATINA AND TRADITIONAL METAL PRODUCTS
Copper, brass, bronze, iron, silver, and other metals may naturally oxidize or develop patina.
Where relevant, Vendors should provide reasonable care instructions.
Natural patina is not automatically a defect, but serious corrosion or unsafe deterioration must not be concealed.
85. PRODUCT CARE
Where special maintenance is reasonably necessary, Vendors should provide suitable instructions concerning:
washing;
polishing;
drying;
oil application;
metal cleaning;
storage;
flame use;
wood care;
textile care;
or other maintenance.
86. PACKAGING
Sacred, fragile, breakable, textile, metal, stone, clay, or other devotional Products must be packaged appropriately for shipment.
The Vendor should take reasonable precautions to prevent breakage, contamination, moisture damage, crushing, or loss of small components.
87. RESPECTFUL PACKAGING
Where reasonably practical, Vendors should package sacred Products in a manner appropriate to their devotional character while still satisfying shipping and safety requirements.
This does not require any particular religious ritual unless the Vendor voluntarily represents that such a practice is included.
88. SHIPPING
Vendors must comply with the Shipping, Delivery, Local Pickup and International Orders Policy.
International shipping of plant, wildlife, shell, wood, food, powder, liquid, metal, antique, or culturally significant Products may be restricted.
89. INTERNATIONAL CUSTOMS
A Product’s devotional purpose does not exempt it from customs, agricultural, wildlife, cultural-property, or import restrictions.
The Vendor shall provide truthful customs declarations.
90. RETURNS
Returns and refunds are governed by the Returns, Refunds and Cancellation Policy.
Ordinary non-custom Products may be eligible for the Vendor’s approved Marketplace return period.
Sacred or devotional character alone does not automatically make a Product non-returnable.
91. CUSTOM DEVOTIONAL PRODUCTS
Customized Deity garments, personalized altar items, engraved Products, custom-size Products, or other made-to-order devotional items may be restricted from ordinary change-of-mind returns where lawful.
Customer remedies remain available for qualifying defects, incorrect customization, material misdescription, or Vendor error.
92. USED DEVOTIONAL PRODUCTS
Daivavarna may restrict or separately review used, previously worshiped, temple-used, antique, or second-hand devotional Products.
Where permitted, condition and prior use must be accurately described.
A Vendor shall not conceal that a Product is used where that fact would materially affect a Customer’s decision.
93. PRODUCT SAFETY
All Products remain subject to the Product Safety and Recall Policy.
Traditional or sacred significance does not exempt a Product from reasonable safety requirements.
94. PRODUCT RECALLS
Vendors must promptly notify Daivavarna of recalls or serious Product-safety concerns affecting devotional Products sold through the Marketplace.
Daivavarna may suspend affected Listings, notify Customers, or require corrective action.
95. PROHIBITED PRODUCTS
A Product prohibited by the Prohibited and Restricted Products, Services and Activities Policy does not become eligible merely because it is intended for worship or described as sacred.
96. CATEGORY MISCLASSIFICATION
Vendors shall not place Products in Deity Worship merely to avoid requirements applicable to Food, Ayurveda, Home & Living, Clothing, Books, Arts & Crafts, or another category.
Daivavarna may reclassify Products where appropriate.
97. PRODUCT-LEVEL REVIEW
Daivavarna may require individual approval for Products involving:
open flame;
children;
food contact;
body use;
sacred Deity forms;
unusual provenance claims;
wildlife materials;
protected woods;
antique objects;
expensive metals;
or other elevated safety, authenticity, or regulatory concerns.
Category approval does not guarantee Product approval.
98. DOCUMENTATION
Daivavarna may request reasonable documentation concerning:
Product material;
supplier;
manufacturer;
artisan source;
temple or ashram authorization;
sacred provenance;
metal composition;
wildlife source;
wood species;
country of origin;
safety testing;
food-contact suitability;
or another material Listing claim.
99. FALSE DOCUMENTATION
Forged temple letters, fabricated blessings, false provenance certificates, altered invoices, false metal certifications, fabricated artisan records, counterfeit safety reports, or other deceptive documentation are prohibited.
Such conduct may result in immediate enforcement.
100. CUSTOMER COMPLAINTS
Daivavarna may investigate complaints concerning:
false sacred provenance;
counterfeit Products;
material misrepresentation;
unsafe Products;
wildlife concerns;
incorrect sizing;
false handmade claims;
Product damage;
or other material issues.
Vendors must reasonably cooperate with legitimate investigations.
101. MARKETPLACE ENFORCEMENT
Failure to comply with these Supplemental Terms may result in:
Listing correction;
Listing rejection;
Product removal;
additional documentation requirements;
Product-level review;
category restrictions;
loss of Deity Worship category approval;
payment holds where appropriate;
Vendor suspension;
or other action permitted under Marketplace Policies.
102. SERIOUS VIOLATIONS
Daivavarna may take stronger or immediate action where a Vendor intentionally:
sells stolen temple property;
fabricates sacred provenance;
falsely claims a Product was offered to a Deity;
sells prohibited wildlife Products;
uses fraudulent temple authorization;
conceals serious flame or Product-safety risks;
sells counterfeit devotional Products;
or repeatedly deceives Customers concerning sacred Products.
103. CHANGES TO THESE SUPPLEMENTAL TERMS
Daivavarna may update these Deity Worship Supplemental Vendor Terms as Marketplace standards, religious-product categories, safety requirements, legal obligations, or operational practices evolve.
Where the terms are materially revised, Vendors may be required to accept a new Category Terms Version before continuing to list Products within Deity Worship.
104. CATEGORY TERMS VERSIONING
Daivavarna may maintain an electronic record identifying:
Vendor identity;
category;
Category Terms Version;
acceptance date and time;
and other reasonable acceptance information.
Acceptance of Version 1.0 does not automatically constitute acceptance of a later materially revised version.
105. REACCEPTANCE
Where these Supplemental Terms are materially revised, Daivavarna may require the Vendor to review and accept the updated version before creating, editing, publishing, or continuing to offer Products within the Deity Worship category.
106. RELATIONSHIP TO OTHER CATEGORY TERMS
Certain Products may be governed by more than one category-specific standard.
For example:
Deity garments may also be subject to Clothing & Textiles requirements;
edible offerings may be subject to Sattvic Foods requirements;
altar furniture may be subject to Home & Living safety standards;
herbal or body-use Products may be subject to Ayurveda requirements;
and sacred books may be subject to Books requirements.
Daivavarna may apply the relevant requirements together where necessary.
107. RELATIONSHIP TO GENERAL VENDOR TERMS
These Supplemental Terms supplement rather than replace the General Vendor Terms and Seller Agreement.
The Vendor must comply with both.
Where these Supplemental Terms establish a more specific Deity Worship requirement, that more specific requirement ordinarily governs the category-specific issue unless Applicable Law or an expressly controlling Marketplace rule provides otherwise.
108. CONTACT
Questions concerning whether a devotional Product is appropriate for the Deity Worship category should be submitted before Listing where eligibility is uncertain.

109. VENDOR CATEGORY ACKNOWLEDGMENT
By accepting these Deity Worship Supplemental Vendor Terms, the Vendor confirms that the Vendor has reviewed and understands the special responsibilities associated with offering sacred and devotional Products through Daivavarna.
The Vendor agrees to accurately describe materials, dimensions, intended use, artisan status, origin, sacred provenance, temple or ashram association, food-contact suitability, flame use, and other material Product characteristics.
The Vendor agrees not to fabricate claims that Products were blessed, consecrated, temple-used, offered to a Deity, made by a religious institution, or otherwise possess sacred provenance without a reasonable factual basis.
The Vendor acknowledges that devotional purpose does not exempt Products from Product-safety, wildlife, customs, food-contact, intellectual-property, or other legal requirements.
The Vendor further acknowledges that electrical, electronic, rechargeable, battery-powered, plug-in, and other powered devotional Products are prohibited during Daivavarna’s initial Marketplace launch unless Daivavarna expressly establishes an approved future program.
The Vendor understands that category approval does not guarantee approval of every Product and that Daivavarna may require Product-level review for Products involving flame, wildlife materials, sacred provenance, food contact, children, antiquities, high-value materials, or other elevated concerns.
The Vendor agrees to comply with these Supplemental Terms, the General Vendor Terms and Seller Agreement, Marketplace Policies, Product Safety requirements, and Applicable Law for so long as the Vendor offers Deity Worship Products through Daivavarna.
